Juno Lodge April Visit

The Juno Lodge No 10001 is a wonderfully fun and vibrant Lodge, it is the University Scheme Lodge in our Province and as a result looks to support and nurture students from the University of Hull and surrounding colleges who wish to become a Freemason.

LEO Lodge March Visit

The Lodge of Established Order meets in Barton-Upon-Humber which is in Lincolnshire. A different Masonic Province and my first visit as Worshipful Master to this wonderful lodge. The current Master of LEO Lodge is none other than our own Lecture Master W Bro. Andy Green who I was very pleased to visit and support during that evening’s ceremony, that of a First Degree initiation!

Ridings Tablers’ Sunday Lunch

On Sunday 30th January, after not seeing one another since November, the Ridings Tablers’ Craft Lodge & Chapter Brethren and Partners got together for a long-awaited catch-up and some good grub. The Warton Arms pub hosted us wonderfully and the meal was excellent. Smiles were made, laughs were had, companionship renewed after the Winter Recess. Thanks to all who attended a great afternoon!

Vermuyden Lodge January Visit

Nestled at the end of a residential cul-de-sac in the Lincolnshire town of Crowle is a rather modern-looking Masonic Centre, a home to four lodges, Vermuyden Lodge being one of them. I visited this Lodge on January 20th 2022, my first visit as Worshipful Master of Ridings Tablers. It was a bitterly cold Thursday but the reception of the Vermuyden Brethren couldn’t have been warmer!

On entry, I was welcomed warmly by the Worshipful Master & Immediate Past Master, Andy Urry (pictured above) & Barrie Graham. I was then introduced to the candidate for raising to the degree of a Master Mason Bro. Stephen Farr (pictured below) who looked both nervous and excited as we all are. The ceremony itself was excellent with the Provincial Grand Chaplain in attendance. The Festive Board downstairs was, I can only describe, one of the most fun and engaging evenings I’ve had. After Senior Warden Paul Fox likened the WM & IPM to the Chuckle Brothers, you knew you were in for a good laugh. A lovely moment then ensued where Founder W Bro. Webster presented the candidate Bro. Farr with a pair of Lodge cufflinks that belonged to the only Grand Lodge Officer from Crowle, W Bro. Cundill, a lovely gesture.

I thank Vermuyden Lodge for their hospitality and we really must do it again soon.
